Homework Task - Measurment

Here is one of my homework tasks for this week. I had to see the weight of each item and put them on a scale from lightest to heaviest.

100 Questions

Here are my 100 questions in the picture above. Took me a long time to do this.

Silly Sentences

This is one of the spelling activities for spelling this week.
Spelling Words: naturalmixturereactionactionsresearchinformationselectrejecthighlight              answer

It is always natural to have a mixture of actions when facing a reaction. Although, research shows information that says that "to have a highlight means to have a low light'. That means you would have to select and reject some of those actions. Now, on a different subject, you will need to answer why I am telling this in the first place.

Homework Task: Target Number

This week's target number: 250

- 0 + 250 = 250
- 220 + 30 = 250
- 249 + 1 = 250
- 250 + 0 = 250
- 210 + 40 = 250
- 245 + 5 = 250
- 225 + 25 = 250
- 230 + 20 = 250

- 300 - 50 = 250
- 260 - 10 = 250
- 251 - 1 = 250
- 290 - 40 = 250
- 255 - 5 = 250
- 252 - 2 = 250
- 1,000 - 700 - 50 = 250

- 25 x 10 = 250
- 250 x 1 = 250
- 1 x 250 = 250
- 50 x 5 = 250
- 125 x 2 = 250

- 500 ÷ 2 = 250
- 750 ÷ 3 = 250
- 2750 ÷ 11 = 250
- 2500 ÷ 10 = 250
- 1250 ÷ 5 = 250
- 2,000 ÷ 8 = 250

What makes a good discoverer?

How To Be A Good Discoverer

Being a discoverer is something people have found easy, and also hard. We are all curious, but most of us just don’t enjoy doing their thing, discovering the answers to life’s questions, like ‘Why is the sky blue? Are we really seeing colour in our life? There are also discoverers that have found something new that would/has affected our lives forever. If you are willing to be one of these types of discoverers, keep reading...

I will start off this explanation by telling you (the reader) this one word.

What do I mean by this? I mean being determined to succeed, and being determined to keep going after you fail, but the question is why? It’s because when you have determination, it helps you succeed; when you fail sometime in your discovery, it makes you feel MORE determined to get to the bottom of the question. By doing this, you could be easily enjoying what you’re doing; maybe even find the answer.
My next point in this explanation is that a discoverer needs to have a…

Story Starter

Story Starter: Write an article about a dedicated dentist who navigates home without a compass.

Have you ever looked into the life of your local dentist? Well, that is a question only 30% said "Yes" to, but, Dr Andrew Bannister is a well-known dentist, who indeed navigates himself to his home, without a compass!

"It's a gift." Bannister says. He is a dedicated dentist, who has been fixing and checking teeth for over 20 years. "Nearly all my patients remember seeing me years back, but it always taking forever to come from home to here. 12 miles!" he says more. Though he seems to have no way of knowing how to get home and back, he says he has a talent, finding his way home without any gadget.

It may sound strange, but a lot of people have believed the dentist, even went with him home. One of the people, Jeffrey McLane, says, "He is a remarkable man, guiding his way home far away from here.".

We also volunteered coming on with him, and guess wh…

Why Tamaki Primary Need a Student Council (Homework Task)

Student Councils do well in schools around the world, but does Tamaki Primary need one? I say yes, and if you want to know the reasons why in my explanation, you too will think Tamaki Primary should have a Student Council. Before I begin, I will say this, not should have a Student Council, as that might mean I am just giving advice to you (the reader), but could have a Student Council would be better to have.

If Tamaki Primary has a Student Council, it would make the school more better. This means that the Student Council could help with decisions made with the school, generate and improve their own ideas. Doing this, the school with be more fun than before, and other students will like the ideas.

My second point on why the school could have a Student Council is so that they could solve problems with other students so duty teachers at break times can stress less. This means that they could:

Stop disagreements around others
Prevent them from doing anything wrong
Stopping the situation …

Unscramble These Words

This is one of my homework tasks for this week. I think I might have solved it.

2 Weekly Blog Post (but it's Monday)

Hi Blog...

Let me just point out these 3 events.

Year 7 and Year 8 Fundraiser a SuccessMothers Day (left at home with my brother...again)Another Student Council meeting today Wait, that reminds me, sorry that this is on a Monday. Trying to keep up with these blog posts. It was a busy week, mostly because of the Year 7 and 8 Sausage Sizzle, and there was this thing where lots of visitors came, and I helped "guide" the visitors inside, who were then guided by Malia and Alison, and then ended up at the hall, where tables were set up.
Wow, I thought I didn't have time, but look above, a full paragraph (not really). There's another fundraiser this week, so wish us all luck!
Mother's Day (Sunday 11th) was good. I stayed home, because of my brother (don't ask, a lot of people ask). Just like last year, but I got more lollies, and mints.
Ever turned that song "All By Myself" on loud behind a person who's sitting alone? Don't.

2-Weekly Blogpost

Hello Blog,

I've been expecting you. Well, not really, it would be a surprise if you are reading this now!

I have planned this 2-Weekly Journal, because the holidays are 2 weeks, right? So, that brings me to here, now, Sunday.

Before I tell you what's been happening, let me explain this:

Nearly every time on the Saturday before the start of school (Terms 1-4), something always turn my holidays around. The first this happened was when my Uncle and his Girlfriend (I still think she is the girlfriend, but her status said Engaged) took me to Sylvia Park for the movies, but because the next movie was in an hour, we went shopping instead, along with ice-cream!

Then another time, Saturday before school started, two kittens came to my house during a thunderstorm! We took care of them for 2 days, and I may have accidently scared off their mother, I don't know why. It WAS the same colour as them, and she looked like them. On the day school started, we sold them to a friend of Dad…

Reading Highlight 2

Another day, another book!

This next book, as I said in the previous post, is called Watch Your Tail! by the author of the popular Geronimo Stilton series, Elisabetta Dami. This book tells the story of Geronimo Stilton's ancient ancestor, Geronimo Stiltonoot.

This book started off normal, him waking up, but then a meteor shower STORM. Stiltonoot then finds out that everyone has the Great Stomachache, besides him. The result of having no stomachache...becoming the chosen one!

As the chosen one, he sets off to find the cure for the great stomachache, along with Trap (cousin). When they finally get the cure and Geronimo carves the cure in his stone notebook, they find the Club Brothers, the two who cave people claim they would help them with the stomachache, pouring prune juice into the water, leading to Old Mouse City, causing people who drank it a stomachache. They were responsible for the epidemic!

Back at Old Mouse City, people come to Geronimo to help clearing the water. In the …

Reading Highlight

This week on the last week of the holidays, I have been reading my Duffy book called, "Field Trip to Niagara Falls", from the book series of Geronimo Stilton. The author is Elisabetta Dami. She is an Italian writer, who writes under the pseudonym of Geronimo Stilton. I read this book under two days! That's the fastest I have ever read a chapter book.

This book was about Geronimo Stilton, who goes on a trip to Niagara Falls with his nephew's (Benjamin) class after thinking they were going to The Rodent's Gazette, the most famous daily newspaper on Mouse Island. He pays for 24 tickets, that is the whole class, plus Miss Angel Paws (a teacher who he seems to like) and himself.

They arrive in Toronto, Canada. Camping for the night, Stilton called his sister for help with the 9 tents, the campfire and the bathroom. The next day, they all went to see the Niagara Falls. After looking at the magnificent falls, they all went on a boat to look under the falls. Punk Rat (on…
