Here is a simple riddle.....

I turn polar bears white
and I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee
and girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid
and normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown
and make your champagne bubble.
If you squeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop.
Can you guess the riddle?

Quote of the Week T2 W8

Reading with my Buddy

Superhero - Free Writing

My hero is "Future Spartacus". His mask is as solid as a rock. His body is all stone and powerful. The superhero stood as tall as a mountain, looking over the city, fighting horrible crime and saving the innocent. His disguise is all serious and super silky silver. He has the feet of an angel, used for flying against evil planes with missiles and bombs. His bionic body protects him in fights.

Tuakana Teina - Recycling

Today Room 3 and Room 5 have been working together to brainstorm ways that we have learned to reduce, reuse and recycle. We decided that if we work together, like a jigsaw, to all help in a small way with recycling, then together we will save our Earth from becoming a mess!
Here is our movie about recycling! Enjoy!

Spelling Term 2 Week 7

Cannon Math

This week I played Cannon Math. I had a lot of help with my friends on some equations on levels 3 and 4. At least it was only 5 levels.

It was really great winning the game for once, since I haven't won this game for a very long time.

Studyladder Game, "Winner"

Last Friday, I was on Studyladder, a learning place for kids at Primary Schools and all over the world. Then I went onto a game called, "Winner". I played it many times and it was so easy, but today was the day I beat the hardest, Hector. He was the weirdest and hardest person in Winner. He was so hard, that no one I knew  beat him, but that's what I think, so I began to play on Hector. At the end, it was unbelievable, I WON!! I beat Hector!

I'm the person that had 85 answers.

Hector is at the bottom with only 82 answers.

Recycling Process

Here is an image of what happens when you do recycle  and don't recycle a plastic bottle. If you do recycle it, It will be in a recycling bin, then it will be separated, whether it's really rubbish, or if it's  recycling material. After, it will be squashed into cubes. It will then get  reprocessed and decontaminated. Finally, it will be made into new material.
If you DON'T recycle the bottle, it will be in a rubbish bin, and then  your rubbish will be taken to a landfill. If it is in the landfill, it would take 450 years to decompose.

What A Wonderful Surprise!

Room 5 had a WONDERFULSURPRISE today when our classmate Charlie-Ray brought in a shipwreck for our fish tank from his mum Katrina. We had been saving up for something to put into our fish tank because our three fish (Alvin, Jeffrey and Ginger Ninja) looked bored. Now we can use the money to buy something else for our fish! Any ideas?

Areas and Perimetres

Attitude Determines Attitude

I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight.
I have responsibilities to fulfil today.
I am important. My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.
Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.
Today I can feel sad that I don't have money or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.
Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.
Today I can complain because I have to…
