Important Blogging Announcement

Image
Hi, there, reader.

I should just point out one small thing on this blog that should be addressed before Term Two starts. For most of February, I started this thing called Today I Learned. Not an original title, as shown from results from Google, but it fits, because, it talks about school stuff. I did this for almost every day in February, and I stopped. I stopped because, well, to be honest with you, reader...it was too much. So, I left it there. Unfinished. Untouched. Unmentioned in the next few posts. I'm sorry, reader. I wasn't lazy to type down about my schoolday, but I had too much work for me to handle, and I couldn't catch up on days (like I did for some posts), because if I did that, more days would need to be written, and that would create chaos. For me. And, it would affect you.

So, I'm starting again, just experimenting with the first month of the Term. Weirdly enough, Term Two starts at the (almost) start of May. Even though it's May 2nd. But, that'…

ANZAC Day 2016

Image
Last year, it was 100 years since the landing on Gallipoli by the ANZAC soldiers.

Today marks 100 years since the first ANZAC Day, to honour the (at the time) one-year anniversary of the Gallipoli landings and the start of the Gallipoli Campaign.

Why should we celebrate ANZAC Day? Click here to read my personal opinion on this day.

Click here for a poem that I collaborated on with my good friend Mehi, written last year.

We shall remember them.

Social Studies Super-riser! (Part Two of two)

Lots of falling down and bumping off. Literally. When I got into there, it was a bit hard. I got stuck, and rolled around for a few seconds. Then I had some trouble standing up. I got there in the end, and went out onto the field. I don't know why, but I was commenting on everything I could just see. It was blurry, but that wasn't a surprise. It was my first time doing this, by the way, so I experimented some stuff. Bumping into one person into another person results in the third person to get all the force from me to fall over, while the second person gets half the force.

Social Studies Super-riser!! (Part One of Two)

On Thursday, the 14th of April, during lunchtime.

Some of the girls from 9E walked passed me to remind me to get changed into my P.E gear. Something was going to happen during Social Studies, and the Peer Support Students Team (well that's what I call them, I actually have no idea what the group are called, and I may sound facetious saying this but I'm being serious, I don't know, okay? I don't know) had been planning it for a long time, as Ms. Minahan (my Social Studies teacher in 9E) said.

Lunchtime.

I ordered myself a steak and cheese pie. Before I say the next thing, let me mention this: Denzel won something from the prize draw, I forgot to mention that. It was a chocolate bar. Now back to that moment. I saw Denzel sit down on the bench (on that spot I was talking about earlier in the previous post), and he held something in his hand. He stared at it, before licking it. The object must've been food. Obviously. He noticed me noticing him as he licked it.
"This was my prize..." he said sorrowfully, holding it up to eye height. I started laughing as he talked about how the chocolate bar came to be. After the little laugh attack, I asked him, "Where's Tyron?"
"He's just over there, at the tuck shop." Denzel replied along those lines, gesturing over to the tuck shop. I swerved around to the tuck shop. About four people in line. Tyron approached us with something he ordered. Well, he approached Denzel. I looked around and realized s…

Forgot to talk about this with you, reader!

Sorry!

The last day of Term One, for Edgewater College. What better way to start off the last day of the term....by going to your old primary school, or, in my case, Tamaki Primary. To drop off Abby. I had a brief conversation with Ms. Barlow and other teachers before walking back out to Mum's car, so she could drop me off. It took a while. But that was alright. I wasn't that late.

Social Studies was first. This was when I realized that even during the holidays, you have homework! Considering that this is college, I understand that, but wow, SOMEONE should've warned me about this beforehand when I asked them for advice on getting ready for college...SOMEONE....but I took the work, like everyone else, with the guys sitting with me groaning and complaining (don't worry, I've only known them for about ten weeks, so I'm used to it).

Maths was next. Gosh, that was bloody hard. 9E had a maths test. Gosh, did I even mention …

Back at it again...

Hi, reader!

It's me...

It's the first school holidays of the year, so I have just two weeks to bring some blogging content. I just need to think about what to blog about.

But it's good to get back to this after, what, a few weeks!

Cheeseburger Pancakes?

Hi, reader!

Another post that's not related to learning, allllright! Last year, back in February, I did a post about my Wacky Web Tale. It was something about Mehi and Sulaiman dancing to music then Michael Jackson came out of nowhere...

*confused look for two seconds*

*shakes head after two seconds*

April 3rd...

Hi, there, reader.

Today is my birthday.

But it's not a big deal, I'm only 14 now. So I decided to just relax for the day. Because, well, what can you do for your 14th birthday?

Exactly. But gosh, 14 years old. I made it. One year without even thinking about making a Facebook page. I mean, seriously, there are some people who at the age of 13, they make a Facebook page. Although, others have taken a bigger turn and made a page BEFORE turning 13. They always say it's to keep up with friends. I don't blame them, Facebook seems cool. I'm just not interested because of the way I've thought of Facebook. Thankfully.

A year has gone past. That was quick, wasn't it? I remember my 13th birthday as if it were two days ago (not yesterday because I want to be realistic, geez). On this day, I walked with my dad to this park near the nearest river. I don't know what it was, but it was in Pakuranga, I can tell you that. Now I'm in college, just typing this down. G…

April 1st, 2013... (Final)

NOTE: THE 31ST WAS SKIPPED.
The last entry from the document of short posts I didn't post in 2013 is here. April the 1st...

Today is April fools day and, sadly, I got pranked by, wait for it, GOOGLE!!! It’s crazy to think about it but it’s true. It all started when I looked at something called “NOSE beta”  and then YOUTUBE came to prank as well, with a short, but fake video saying that it would be shutting down for like, 10 YEARS!!!  It felt sad until I read about an article saying that it was, fake. I also pranked my dad, which was a good thing. Lucky Youtube didn’t really shut down, hmmm.

New Youtube Skill Thing!

Hi reader.
I don’t normally do these kinds of posts but would you believe it? In our world today where technology and cyberspace is taking hold on the real world, new breakthroughs happen now and again through different social networks and new technology and apps and gears come about for everyone to gasp in wonder about.
One of the social networks, and also a video-sharing website, YouTube, has made a breakthrough through videos and senses, allowing us viewers of videos to sense the smell of what’s happening in the video! It has taken six years for this to work, but we can finally use a shortcut on selected videos to smell, what is in the video!
All you have to do is this: Click here and it will take you to a recipe on how to make koko alaisa - special testing has been more successful with videos related to foods and cooking due to the aroma of food. Make the video go to full screen. Now I know what you’re thinking - I can’t smell anything! Well, just wait after it goes past the two minute…
